ROATAN WITH MEGHANHere are pics from my trip to Roatan with Meghan! We tried to do the whole trip on $50 ... and if you don't count the cost of the ferry to the Island we came quite close.
Roatan is one of three Honduran Islands. It takes just about an hour and a half by boat to get there, but there's also an airport. Although part of Honduras, most people (at least in touristy areas and in taxis) speak English.
Above, I'm standing at the beach just yards from our hostel in West End.
From top to bottom: 1. Hitchhiking. 2. The Booze Cruise didn't fit into our schedule, but we figured that was a good thing since unlimited alcohol and a swaying boat all night didn't sound like a good combo. 3. Reading magazines in the shade. 4. Sunset. 5. A few new friends watching the sun set.
